Uppvind, a new opera
Uppvind is a newopera project. It´s an effort to examine how to work with the opera form in new context. This means working with text, singed dialogue, arias and a kind of story, but with different kind of music. Niklas Rydén’s intention is to do this with a music and song style that lends it’s language and techniques from the cabaret, electronica and popular music (not from opera), but still are looking for the deep and seriousness of classical music and opera. He also will let a visual language have a great impact with visual objects on stage and big projections on the wall. Also dance will have an important role in this piece for three or four musicians, a computer, three or four order levitra singers, three dancers and a video performer.
Responsible together with Niklas Rydén is artist Jim Berggren and light designer Anna Wemmert Clausen. In the ensemble are also singers/musicians Malin Dahlström, Uncas Rydén and Lisen Rylander, and dancers/choreographers Klara Rygielski, Minna Kiper and Eva Ingemarsson.
